About Our Services
Welcome to Lone Peak Dental Care, where your family’s health is our priority! Our experienced staff are skilled in both restorative and cosmetic dentistry, with state of the art technology at their disposal. With families at the center of our practice, we care about the development and care of baby teeth as much as health of adult teeth, helping maintain health throughout you and your family’s lifetime. From regular cleanings to braces, our services will be available to you.
Bridges & Implants
You only get one chance at a first impression. Most people will notice your appearance, including your smile, before they notice anything else about you. Are you making the impression that you want? We know how important first impressions are to most people and we want to help! We offer cosmetic dentistry services including:
Full mouth restoration
Bonding & White Filling
The goal of cosmetic bonding is to repair aesthetics defects in your smile, such as cracks, chips, discoloration, and gaps. The process uses a durable plastic resin that can be utilized in dozens of ways to address your dental imperfections. Your smile is your identity, and often the first criteria others evaluate when meeting you. At Lone Peak Dental Care, we want to empower you with a smile that they will recognize as welcoming as attractive. Cosmetic bonding is easy and one of the least expensive cosmetic dental procedures. Anesthesia is typically not required, and the process can usually be completed in one visit to our office.
Oral Cancer Screenings
The American Dental Association recommends that you see your dentist every six months. Doing so will give you the best chance of preventing serious dental diseases. At your regularly scheduled examination, your teeth will be cleaned by a professional who will remove all of the built-up plaque and calculus that your own toothbrush can’t reach. Other protective measures that we provide include:
Fluoride treatments- Fluoride strengthens the enamel of your teeth and makes them more resistant to cavities. It can also stop developing cavities in their tracks!
Sealants- Tooth sealants are a thin coating of protective material that is painted onto your teeth and helps to prevent the buildup of bacteria in the deep grooves of your teeth.
Oral cancer screenings- It goes without saying that the earlier you catch cancer the better! You will be screened every six months if you keep to the recommended schedule!
Treatments for teeth grinding and headache- If you suffer from teeth grinding (also known as Bruxism), we offer custom made mouth guards that prevent your teeth from making contact and can help the muscles in your jaw relax.
If you haven’t been seeing a dentist regularly, don’t wait another day to make an appointment! Your health and your smile are worth it!
Dental veneers are super thin, flexible porcelain liners designed to cover the front surface of any teeth that may be discolored or misshapen to improve its appearance. The liners bond to the teeth, changing their color, shape and size, and are more stain resistant than an actual resin tooth.
There are a number of methods to choose from when it comes to whitening your teeth. Choose from whitening toothpastes, over-the counter gels, rinses, strips, trays and other products you can get from your dentist. Another option is in-office bleaching, an expensive but highly affect treatment that yields dramatic results
Your teeth have small pockets along the gums, referred to as the periodontal pocket, which can collect plaque and calculus. If untreated, this buildup can lead to irritation or even gum disease. Our dentists are trained in a process called root planing, which cleans out these pockets and prevents these conditions from developing. Your gum health is just as important as your teeth health, and our dentists will look to prevent decay wherever it may form.
If a tooth has been damaged through decay or some kind of injury, your dentist may try to fix it with a filling, a crown, or other treatments. However, if too much damage has occurred and the tooth can’t be repaired, then the tooth needs to be extracted. Tooth extraction is when the tooth is completely removed from its socket in the bone.
Dentures are removable devices that can replace missing teeth and restore your smile. If you have lost some or all of your natural teeth, whether from tooth decay, gum disease or some type of dental injury, replacing those teeth will benefit your health and your appearance. Choose from complete or partial dentures, conventional or immediate. Your dentist will help you decide which kind is right for you.
A root canal repairs and saves a tooth that is badly decayed or has been infected. The nerve and pulp of the tooth are removed, then the tooth is cleaned and sealed to prevent further decay and infection.
Symptoms that indicate the need for a root canal are not always present. Some signs include severe toothache pain, prolonged sensitivity, discolorations, and swelling or tendering in nearby gums. Your dentist will drill a hole into the offending tooth and remove the nerve and pulp that carries the bacteria and decay. The tooth is then cleaned and sealed to prevent further infection.
Inlays & Onlays
No temporary crown. No second visit. No goo in your mouth. The CEREC one-visit crown machine helps our highly trained assistants create a restoration for your tooth. The 3D software takes the digital picture and converts it into a 3-dimensional virtual model on the computer screen. Your Dentist then uses dental expertise to design the restoration using the 3D computer program. Within a few minutes, we click a button, and the restoration design data is sent to a separate milling machine in the office.
A ceramic block that matches your tooth shade is placed in the milling machine. About 10 – 20 minutes later, your all-ceramic, tooth-colored restoration is finished and ready to bond in place. Finally, your Dentist tries the restoration in your mouth to ensure proper fit and bite. The restoration is then polished and bonded to the prepared tooth. Your tooth is restored with no “temporary” or return trip necessary. All of this is done in a single appointment!
